I went into a staff meeting at 2:30pm and came out belonging to another department. It's a strange feeling but I think it's going to be a really good move.

Year 25, Day 95

Coordinated first service and then Evan and I met with a man (and his girlfriend/business partner) that my mom knows. They're starting a New York-style deli taco truck business called Brooklyn Boys. We did a social media consultation and information session with them... It went great and we REALLY liked them.

I can't wait for the business to open! The food sounds amazing!

Year 25, Day 94

Mellow morning alone, lunch with my husband, an early workday and a great message.

We had lunch at Pancakes R Us and as we walked in, a waitress commented on my haircolor. She said it was gorgeous, was it natural? Because apparently, I can wear any lipstick I want with this color hair! After we sat down, she came to our table a few minutes later and asked me a MILLION questions about it. After I told her that yes, I dyed it myself and no, I'm not a hairstylist, she asked me if I would do her hair for her if she paid me.

It was really awkward. But lunch was great!!

Year 25, Day 93

Spent the morning at The Lost Bean helping a friend with her computer. Then we went to Kohls because I needed a new purse and we wanted to "touch stuff" and they were having a HUGE sale. Well, I got the new purse... Two, actually! One in black and one in brown. It was less than half price!

Then I had an emergency meeting at work/church. At 6pm on my day off. 20 miles away. Yet I didn't mind! I think I've finally really found a job I love!

Year 25, Day 92

Got our final assignment for my voice class. I have to sing To God Be The Glory with five other people, one of which I've never met, one who is my scared husband who's never sung before and then three people I know a little bit from church.

This should be interesting.

Year 25, Day 91

Still in love with this stormy weather.

Sad to hear that a friend of mine had a piece of their roof ripped off by a tornado, but everyone was okay.

Had an acquaintance/co-worker get in kind of a bad accident. Had a rough service.

Found out something... disconcerting. A major business decision was made without me by my partner. I think I'm going to pull out of that one and let her have the whole thing. It's clearly not my project, anyway.

Had a small emotional breakdown. Recognized it for the attack it was and moved on.

Strange day.

Year 25, Day 90

Turned in my first paper today.

Still massively enjoying this rain. Rain makes music sound better.

Year 25, Day 89

Day off with my husband. Spent part of it visiting with my grandpa, part of it in a prayer meeting for a miracle of a magnitude that no one I know has ever seen and then had a nice dinner (I made a pork tenderloin, roasted garlic rosemary potatoes and carrots and green beans with bacon) and watched a cheesy sci-fi mini-series with my husband. A great rainy day off.

I love the rain.

Church. Staff meeting. Life shattering staff meeting.

Hung out with my parents.

Went to the movies with my husband, saw the Book of Eli. It was pretty good. Not awesome, but worth seeing if you like that post-apocalyptic type of movie.

Today was an incredibly hectic and incredibly rewarding day. I enjoyed it immensely. I hope your day was meaningful as well.

Year 25, Day 83

Drove to Altadena today to pick up 1000 cds. It was rather pleasant, actually. No traffic and I got to just kind of think and listen to music and sing. Alone time is good.

And I forgot to post a picture of the Christmas present I FINALLY got! A new sparkly wedding band to go with my solitaire. :) It's a phone picture, so sorry that it's crappy.

Year 25, Day 82

Day 2 of homework. I tackled a lot more of it today. I just have to finish up a bit of workbook stuff for Musicianship by Thursday and a tiny bit of Theology reading.

It's hard but I'm enjoying it. And I think that once I get back in the swing of things, it'll get easier.

Year 25, Day 81

My body has finally begun to normalize a bit. My skin is clearing up and I've begun to lose weight again. Can the solution really be this simple?

Started training someone tonight. She and her department are going to be taking over what I've been doing in Wednesday and Saturday services. I think it's going to go really well. :)
